I'm 16 years old
And I am what I should be

I come from a torturous place
I broke things, I broke alliances and friendships
Pretending to be okay, pretending not to be destroyed
But children of controlling parents are liars

I won't pretend I'm okay
Because you always know
I won't feel like dying
Because you would save me
I won't ask for help
Because that drowning is what I want most

I know I made a mistake, I know I lied
